General Hospital’s Adam Huss has a special message for Nikolas fans

General Hospital’s Adam Huss has a special message for Nikolas fans

Nikolas may be out of sight on General Hospital, but he’s not out of fans’ minds.

Nikolas Cassadine is one of the few General Hospital characters who has committed crimes over the last few years to be languishing away in jail. When Adam Huss returned for a few brief episodes earlier this year so Nikolas could turn himself in and say goodbye to his family, he broke fans’ hearts with his emotional performance.

Nikolas finally met his one-year-old son, Ace, but had to hand him over to Laura before they had a chance to bond. Laura convinced her son to take responsibility for his actions, and soon Nikolas was sent to a prison outside Port Charles.

Huss has made no secret of his desire to continue bringing Nikolas to life and recently reminded fans how much he loves the character.

“Don’t think I don’t see all your #GH love for #Nikolas,” Huss recently tweeted. “I see you and I appreciate you all! As you know I love playing Nikolas Mikael Stavrosavich Cassadine so wherever the journey takes me YOUR love always resonates with me. Wanted to take a moment to express that! Thank you.”

The actor received such an outpouring of love from GH fans that he returned with a second tweet a few days later.

“I am in awe of all the love this post got. Wow. Thank you for the love and acceptance of me as #nikolas #gh fans. I know it’s not easy to accept a recast. I won’t ever take this embrace for granted! Not even for a second. Mwuah!”

There’s no word on when — or if — Huss will return to GH as Nikolas. He may be behind bars, but there are always loopholes for early release on a soap. With Nikolas’ younger brother, Lucky, due home soon when Jonathan Jackson returns next month, it might be the perfect time for Laura to have both of her sons on the canvas. There’s a lot of drama to be milked from the Cassadine and Spencer sides of the family.
