General Hospital Spoilers: Sam Dies, And Dante Maintains A Stronghold On Drew And Jason’s Kids
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is slated to die soon — marking the end of an era with her on GH for the last 21 years. The rollercoaster of emotions Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is bound to experience in the aftermath of her death is no joke.
He’ll likely feel some resentment for Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins) even needing a donor, but he may also blame himself for letting Sam go through with the transplant. He never imagined she would suffer any consequences from this seemingly routine and straightforward procedure.
When Sam is gone, Dante may struggle to move on with his life, and he may want to hang onto any part of her that he can. Does that mean keeping the penthouse apartment she owned? Does that mean distancing himself from his own family and spending more time with hers?
Does it mean attempting to hold onto Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) even though they have their own fathers?
General Hospital Spoilers — Sam’s Last Call
The fans took note when Sam linked up with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) at the Q mansion. A sentimental moment for sure, they couldn’t play into too much emotion because it’s not as though any of them knew yet that Sam wasn’t going to make it out of this operation alive.
Still, it didn’t fall on deaf ears that Sam had to ask both of the fathers of her children to regularly spend some time with their kids at the family estate. This implied that this isn’t something they generally do.
While we know that Jason hasn’t been allowed to see Danny until more recently, fans got the impression that wasn’t a problem anymore. But it seems like he’s still steering clear. Are he and Drew too busy for their own kids?
GH Spoilers Say It’s Too Much Too Soon
Dante may feel like he’s been the primary father figure in both Danny’s and Scout’s lives — and he may not be wrong.
Jason has only been home for just over six months, and much of that he still had to refrain from spending time with Danny. Now that they’re cool to be father and son, we haven’t seen much of them together.
Since Drew decided to run for Congress, the time he has spent with Scout seems to have diminished as well. Remember how focused he was on her before, wanting to ensure she was happy and in the best school and so forth? What happened to that guy?
If Dante has a hard time letting go of Danny and Scout, it may be because he feels he’s losing the family he built with Sam — because he is.
General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Goes for the Jugular
Of course, there are kosher ways to handle this. We can’t see a world in which either Jason or Drew would have any issue with Dante and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) remaining in Danny’s and Scout’s lives. But Dante may not go about it in the cleanest fashion.
His grief following Sam’s death could come out as anger and rage — and he just might take it out on the two men who weren’t there for her and their children enough, even though it was often Sam who pushed them away.
Lambasting Jason and Drew for being absent fathers isn’t likely to go over well. Can Dante find healthy ways to process his heartbreak in the aftermath of Sam’s death? We sure hope so! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
