General Hospital Spoilers: Ric Plots to Throw Ava's Case as She Grows More Attracted to Him By the Minute

General Hospital spoilers report Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) only took Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) case to make sure she pays for the catastrophe that led to his daughter — Molly Lansing Davis’ (Kristen Vaganos) — child being killed.

Whether it was a tragic accident or more than that is for a judge or jury to decide, but Ric’s claims that he believes Ava is innocent may not be as genuine as they appear to her — and that could be just the point.

Ric has always been rather skilled at getting any woman he’s targeting to fall for him. Ava was an easy mark. She always falls for the guy who makes her problems go away. The more he paints a picture that everything is going to be fine, the more Ava is likely to trust him.

Is she the fool Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has pegged her as?

General Hospital Spoilers — This is Only Somewhat His Style

It’s no secret that Ric has a history of scamming the women in his life. But still, it’s not like him to throw a case that would only mar his own record as an attorney. But we’ve seen parents do a lot worse for their children, and he may be awfully broken up by the pain Molly is feeling right now.

Most recently, Molly kicked Ric out of her apartment when they couldn’t manage to see eye to eye over this issue.

She just can’t stomach that he doesn’t believe Ava is culpable in the death of her child, and he knows she’s not going to see through her grief anytime soon. If Ric thinks his only path back into Molly’s life is to give her what she wants, he just might do it.

GH Spoilers Tease Molly May Not Buy it

Of course, Molly is sharp. She’s no dummy. If her dad starts making some ridiculous mistakes with Ava’s case, or making moves that she knows he normally wouldn’t that will only soften Ava’s defense, she just might start to recognize that her dad is weakening the defense on purpose.

Why would he do that? The only logical reason would be that he wants to please Molly and get back in her good graces. Does she have the stomach to let him do that when she knows it’s not in his client’s best interest? Will she let her dad breach his own moral code and that of the justice system just to appease her irrational emotional plea for vengeance?

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Won’t Stand for This

It’s not likely that Molly will be the only person who figures out what Ric is up to though. Ava has trusted him thus far and thinks he’s doing a bang-up job at protecting her from persecution.

But as the realities of this case sink in, if it starts going south, Ava is going to demand answers as to why things went in an incredibly different direction than Ric told her they would.

Furthermore, she’ll have people like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina in her corner reiterating that she cannot trust this legal eagle.

But is it too late? Will she be burned again by another guy who wooed her into foolishly trusting him? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
