General Hospital Spoilers – GH’s Adam Huss On “Overlapping Scenes” With Marcus Coloma

General Hospital spoilers remind fans that Huss entered the Nikolas Cassadine character in 2021-2022 to fill for actor Marcus Coloma, eventually taking it over in early 2023, and has been in a recurring role.

Huss first talked to Benard about how he met Coloma on the GH set as their scenes overlapped. He adds he “felt terrible” and that Coloma was kind and a “cool dude”.

GH Spoilers Spoilers – Adam Huss’s Conversation With Tyler Christopher

Still, Huss’s encounter with Tyler Christopher really touched him. Sadly, he talked to his Nikolas Cassadine predecessor mere months before the actor passed away. This unraveled when journalist Markos Papadatos organized a phone chat between the two actors.

Huss recalls during State of Mind that a couple of months before Tyler died, Markos was with Tyler and the three had a chat.

While Huss felt awkward at first, he went on to tell Christopher that when he was a kid in the ‘90s, he’d see Tyler on covers and would say, “I want to be that guy”. He also told Tyler that he’s “honored” he gets to step in his shoes, as Nikolas on GH.

Huss added that he told Tyler that he watched “everything” he did, not to mimic it, but to inspire him and for a backstory on the role.

Huss goes on to tell Benard that he never loses sight of what Tyler did, what he created, and how important he is to GH fans and family.

Huss states, “I hold on to that when I step into those shoes. I really do, every time. Every single time I get a script I go into YouTube and I start pulling up clips of him watching all that because it’s all right there.”
