Duke and Anna fans got a special treat when both Ian Buchanan and Finola Hughes shared some selfies they took together! “Look who I found in London,” Hughes said of her selfie with her former General Hospital co-star and his partner, Antonio Hendricks. Buchanan posted his own similar selfie and captioned it: “As you do!”

Naturally, the comments filled up with love from fans and friends, including some of their GH castmates like Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden), Michael Easton (ex-Finn), Cameron Mathison (Drew), and Kelly Monaco (Sam). Even Hendricks himself commented on Hughes’ post to declare: “Love you!!!”

Of course, many fans were reminded of the Duke and Anna love story on GH, especially their infamous tangos. And one urged Hughes to bring Buchanan back to Port Charles when she returns home from her trip to England with her daughter, Sadie.

Buchanan joined the cast of GH as Duke Lavery in 1986, a year after Hughes debuted as Anna Devane. Despite Duke’s criminal ties, he and Anna fell in love and were married. Fans were thrilled when Duke came back from the dead in 2012, but sadly, his reunion with Anna was cut short when the character was killed off again in 2015.

While Hughes has played Anna and her twin sister, Alex, on both GH and All My Children, Buchanan became quite the soap hopper after leaving GH in 1989. He played James Warwick on The Bold & The Beautiful, Joshua Temple on GH spinoff Port Charles, and Ian McAllister on Days Of Our Lives. When he joined the cast of AMC in 2005 as Dr. Greg Madden, Hughes had already returned to GH, so their paths didn’t cross in Pine Valley.

Hey, Duke came back from the dead once before, so why not a second time? In soaps, anything is possible!
