GH Spoilers – Daytime Drama Fans Miss Nicholas Chavez
Looks like Hollywood has come calling, and Chavez is very busy with acting projects outside the land of soaps. He was recast as Spencer Cassadine in 2021 and immediately became a fan favorite.
Spencer’s romantic pairing with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), who were affection referred to as “Springa”, had GH viewers swooning. Sadly, he left the soap in late 2023 (with his final GH airdate being January 31, 2024) due to the filming schedule for Monsters.
There was a belief that Chavez would return to the show to finish up his contract at some point this summer or fall. Still, in early May of this year, the actor hopped on X and posted a tweet that acknowledged the opportunity GH gave him.
He noted that he wouldn’t be busy with acting projects if it were for the talented fellow actors, directors, producers, and writers on the daytime drama and added that GH’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini was a mentor.
Chaves noted there were no plans currently for a Spencer return, but added, “… we are still talking very openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles.”
Will Nicholas Chavez return to the soap? Are you excited to see him in Monsters, Season 2?
