General Hospital Spoilers reveal Willow Corinthos (Kaitlyn MacMullen) is still reeling from her Independence Day interlude with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).

Celebrating a bit too much independence from her husband — Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) — that night, she locked lips with Drew and it’s been tearing her up inside ever since.

While her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), may have been able to downplay things for her, Willow won’t tolerate keeping this secret from Michael very well.

The problem is, Nina may continue to insist she shouldn’t tell her hubby. Instead, she might do it for her.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Put the Fire Out

When Willow showed up at Nina’s office looking for her mother’s shoulder to cry on, Nina couldn’t have been more elated and relieved.

Certainly, she may not have wanted to see her daughter in pain, but her primary focus was the fact that Willow was hurting — and she came to her for help.

Likewise, Nina could have told Willow the truth about her own budding relationship with Drew, but she didn’t. She wasn’t interested in jeopardizing the brand new headway she had made with Willow.

Once again, it’s all about what’s best for Nina. So was her advice for Willow to keep quiet really said with the best of intentions, or is Nina still out for herself?

GH Spoilers Hint the Embers Still Burn

Willow left Nina’s office ready to clear the air with Drew. She knows this can never happen again; they both do. That doesn’t mean it won’t though.

As much as Willow feels horrible for cheating on Michael, she soon won’t be able to shake her attraction to Drew as they continue spending time with one another.

Likewise, Drew has promised Nina tha he won’t even go there with Willow again, but we know better.

So when sparks fly and these two end up doing a whole lot more than locking lips, Nina is certain to have something to say about it — and Willow is certain to come running to her mom for more advice she won’t follow.

General Hospital Spoilers — Who Beats Her to the Punch?

Nina is hoping she can count on Drew to keep his word and not pursue Willow, but truth be told, it was Willow who leaned first on the Fourth of July.

The next time she ends up at Nina’s door at Crimson, it just may be because she has realized she doesn’t want to stay away from Drew.

That isn’t going to bode well for Nina and her own personal interest in him, nor will it massage her ego to know he’s choosing her daughter over her.

What’s the best way to make sure the buck stops here with Willow and Drew? Making sure Michael finds out, of course. Will Nina go that low?
