During the October 27 episode of Sister Wives, there was a big discussion about how the original three wives, Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown’s weddings were different from Robyn Brown’s wedding. Christine Brown Woolley points out that in their religion, the first wife gets to have the big wedding if they want, but all the subsequent wives need to take a more subdued union. As they discuss all the differences between the weddings, Robyn and Kody’s wedding sticks out like a sore thumb. Since many Sister Wives fans have been watching or rewatching the seasons in their entirety, it is perplexing to see Kody and Robyn talk about their posh wedding not being about them.

Kody And Robyn Brown’s Wedding Misunderstanding?

There has been speculation that Sister Wives Season 19 will hold a vow renewal for Robyn and Kody Brown. Perhaps TLC is reframing to prepare the audience for a recreation of Roby and Kody’s big day while making it solely for them. But it is hard for fans to stomach that Kody and Robyn are spouting that their wedding wasn’t about them. On Reddit, Sister Wives fans discuss how Kody and Robyn’s public relations team has been rewriting history for their benefit. In a thread, one user starts the conversation by saying, “My wedding day was not about me.” Then, another post questions, “Your lavish wedding wasn’t about you?” Following the idea up with, “EVERYTHING is about you.”

Seemingly, TLC is trying to clean up Robyn’s image by including how gracious she was to host an event to include all of her sister wives. Likewise, she even wore two dresses to accommodate Meri Brown’s request to take a family photo without her wedding dress.

Kody And Robyn Brown PR Team Rewriting History?

While many fans know that Robyn and Kody Brown’s wedding was the first nuptial on TV, they think there is an ulterior motive to help Robyn’s image.

• Likewise, another fan points out, it is a plan to make Robyn Brown look better. They say, “Kody saying it was all his idea too. Their PR firm def laid out the plan to pin it all on Kody. This reinforces their weird dynamic they’ve had from the get go. Robyn the damsel in need of saving by big strong man Kody. It makes him feel big and brave, taking all the hate for her actions.”
• Someone else adds, “Robyn ‘our wedding wasn’t about me and it wasn’t about Kody.. it was about the family‘ (paraphrasing because I forgot word for word quote).”

Wedding Dress Debacle

But some Sister Wives fans have the moment of betrayal burned in their minds when Kody Brown was elated to discuss picking out Robyn Brown’s wedding dress.
