General Hospital Comings and Goings: Chloe Lanier Back As Nelle Benson
General Hospital comings and goings reveal the return of Chloe Lanier as the presumed dead Nelle Benson. While she won’t be around long, we’re sure she’ll torture whoever she is with, even if it’s just a dream.
General Hospital’s Chloe Lanier Didn’t Know How To Be Nelle
It’s been two years since Lanier stepped into crazy Nelle’s shoes and she had to admit to Soap Opera Digest that she wasn’t sure how to do it.
“I was looking at videos of Nelle online for days, like, ‘It has been two years since I had played this role. What did I even do? What were my speech patterns? How did I walk as Nelle?’’ she said. “All of these things that were once so clicked-in for me, I had totally forgotten how to do, but hopefully it translated and I was able to slip back into character the way I did it before. I’m hoping.”
There’s no word just yet on how Nelle will fit into the story or how long she will be around, but she could just be manifested in a nightmare that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is supposed to have next week. Perhaps Willow dreams about dying and leaving Wiley to be raised by Nelle, which would be her worst nightmare. Might that make her consider actually trying to save her own life so she can be there for her living child? We hope so.
What Really Happened To Nelle?
The last we saw of Nelle was in 2020 when she was running in the woods to get away from Carly Corinthos. She then fell over a cliff to her death after Carly briefly hesitated when she tried pulling her up. Harrison Chase was supposed to identify her body but he spotted Willow kissing Michael Corinthos before that could actually happen so we are not sure if he ever did.
While Lanier says she did not work with Chad Duell or Josh Swickard this time around, she didn’t rule out returning again. This is what makes many people believe Nelle will be appearing in that Willow dream, but since we are still not sure what happened to Nelle when she went over that cliff, Lanier doesn’t rule out the possibility of another GH return sometime down the road. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see what Nelle does next.
