Samm’s appearance coincide with the return of five-time Daytime Emmy winner Jonathan Jackson, and his legacy character Lucky Spencer. The two characters were stunned to meet in a dingy poker room on Wednesday’s episode.

Jackson debuted on the show in 1993. Samms noted that working with the highly recognized Jackson is a “gift.”

“It’s such a gift that Frank (Valentini) has given me, working with Jonathan, who is, obviously, a very, very good actor. That’s undisputed — but he’s also really nice. And we have a very similar way of approaching the work, and we realized that that is because we were both trained by Tony Geary.”

On Friday, Aug. 30 Adam J. Harrington exited the show as Special Agent Cates, and in June Michael Easton left his role as Hamilton Finn. In August fans saw Bryan Craig as Morgan Corinthos.
