‘General Hospital’ Bryan Craig Reveals Shocking Drug Overdose
General Hospital star Bryan Craig is revealing that he almost died from a drug overdose. The soap star who played Morgan Corinthos isn’t on the show anymore but did make a brief return recently.
Bryan Craig Reveals Overdose
Bryan Craig was recently on the State of Mind podcast with Maurice Benard who plays Sonny on General Hospital. Craig opened up about a scary experience that he had that fans don’t know about just yet. Here is what Craig revealed:
“had a minor surgery on my head. And I won’t say who or how but it was a botched surgery, and they nicked my occipital nerve in the back of my head. So for three or four months I couldn’t move my head to the left, to the right, up or down. I couldn’t lay it on a pillow. So [for] someone who already has insomnia, I did not sleep. I did not sleep for four months and I finally started to understand how that can affect your mind and your body. I was hallucinating.”
He was dealing with a lot of pain and was prescribed painkillers. Craig took them because he needed them, but it also became a problem for him. He went on to say, “I ended up ODing and had to go to the ER because I took too much — what was it? Vicodin, or something. It was the worst three, four months of my life.”
Bryan Shares His Therapy
One thing that Bryan Craig has been doing is running. This is great therapy for him. He was so happy to be alive that he is taking care of himself. Running has been great for his healing. He is grateful to be alive and is focusing on his health, which is great news. It would be great if he could get back to acting again as well and fans would love to see him return as Morgan Corinthos on General Hospital.
