‘Sister Wives’ Mykelti Fears TLC’s Handling Of Garrison Brown’s Death
Sister Wives star Mykelti Padron is not looking forward to TLC bringing the story of Garrison Brown passing away to TV.
In fact, she seemed genuinely distressed when she and Tony Padron talked about it on their YouTube vlog this week. Read on to find out more.
Garrison Brown Passed Away In March
When the news that Janelle Brown’s son had passed away arrived, TLC fans were horrified and stunned. In Season 18, he’d told his mom that they didn’t “need a father figure anymore.” Respect for the young man was at an all-time high, and Sister Wives fans felt saddened that he was at odds with his father, Kody Brown.
More sadness came when the news arrived that Garrison Brown had taken his own life after sending out some disturbing text messages. While social media fans mourned, some people wondered if TLC would continue to film the show. Well, they did, and viewers will see something about his passing.
Mykelti Padron Fears TLC’s Coverage
The passing of Janelle’s son saw a lot of people give the Sister Wives stars space to grieve. Still, many of them felt they could never watch another season of the show. Additionally, others felt that they wanted to see something respectful. And, Christine’s daughter, Mykelti Brown Padron wants the same thing.
Coverage of the life and death of Garrison Brown was confirmed by Mykelti Padron when she and her husband, Tony discussed it on their vlog. ET also did a video about it which you can see further down in this article. In it, Mykelti said that she hopes it will be “about him.”
Mykelti Padron didn’t sound at all confident that the TLC network would make it all about her half-brother. Actually, she seems distressed that they might not “respect” him or grant him the “honor” that he deserves.
Many Sister Wives fans felt sad hearing about Mykelti Padron’s fears. In the comments, they had their say about Garrison Brown. Here are some of their thoughts:
- I hope so too Mylelti. I really do.
- It’s capitalizing off of a tragedy…fully. TLC is gross.
- really? you address it through being truthful – this unfortunate… (suicide) happens every day, how unfortunate, and divorce happens also.
- Losing Garrison hit hard. Just days before, he had adopted a new kitty and reacted to my comment on Instagram about it, which made him all the more real, as I’m just a fan and I care about the entire family.
What are your feelings about TLC covering the passing of Garrison Brown? Do you also hope that they make it about him and not about the family feud?
