What happened to Brook Lynn on General Hospital? Plot dynamics explored
Brook Lynn Quartermaine nee Ashton of General Hospital is the daughter of Lois Cerullo and Ned Quartermaine. However, her parents separated before she was born and later, she had to develop rapport with her parents’ various romantic partners. Introduced to the soap in 1997, Brook Lynn was originally stated to be born in 1996. However, her birth year was later readjusted to 1986 to meet the storyline’s demands.
For the newly indicted fans of General Hospital, Brook Lynn has been part of the soap since 1997, played by various actors. The character has grown up from a baby to a married adult on the show. Currently, Amanda Setton portrays the character.
In the initial years, child actors Kaitlyn Avery, Sarah Avery, and Brooke Radding played Brooke Lynn. Adrianne Leon intermittently portrayed the grown-up Brooke between 2004 and 2011. In 2019, Amanda Setton took over the role, while Braina Lane briefly relieved her in 2020 and again in 2022.

As mentioned before, Brook Lynn was born to Lois Cerullo and Ned Quartermaine after their marriage broke down. A growing Brook Lynn developed a liking for her stepmother, Chloe Morgan, followed by her father’s girlfriend Alexis Davis and later, Olivia Falconeri.
While growing up, things were difficult for Brook Lynn when her mother got close to Lorenzo Alcazar but Brook Lynn had a difficult relationship with his son, the delinquent Diego Alcazar.
After her exposure at Port Charles University, she left the city for some time. She returned broke and resorted to earning money from Carly by trying to break up Lulu Spencer and Dante Falconeri at her bidding.
She later worked with Nikolas Cassadine. They genuinely liked each other but broke up, with Elizabeth Webber joining the equation. On Nikolas’s friendly advice, Brook Lynn joined a touring band as per the storyline.
In 2019, Brook Lynn exchanged her shares of ELQ company with Valentin Cassadine in return for his services of getting rid of manager Linc. Parallely, when her father offered her a job at ELQ, she revealed a secret deal on social media by mistake.
However, when Lulu exposed her mistake, she fought with Lulu and landed in police custody.
Learning that his daughter gave off company shares to Valentin, Ned banished her from the house. In 2020 on General Hospital, Brook Lynn faced a serious attack when Nelle Benson injured her throat with scissors. This happened when she was calling the cops on Nelle for plotting to kidnap Wiley.
However, the event left BL without a singing voice and she had to ask Amy Driscoll to provide her with a voiceover. This deception was exposed during a live performance and BL was fired.
Brook Lynn’s unhappy tryst with Valentin continued as she embarked on an affair with him. She pretended to be pregnant to coax him to hand over the ELQ shares back to her father.
A perceptive Valentin moved into the Quartermaine mansion to keep an eye on the supposedly pregnant BL. However, since Brook Lynn was not pregnant, she collaborated with Maxie to present the latter’s baby as her own.
Soon after that on General Hospital, she told Valentin that he was not the unborn baby’s father. However, Chase claimed to be the biological father.
General Hospital: Brook Lynn and Chase’s relationship chart
Harrison Chase of General Hospital is a cop and has been part of Brook Lynn’s acquaintances for some time. When her throat was slit, an injured BL ended up spending the night at Chase’s place rather than going to Quartermaine mansion. After Chase stepped in to save Brook Lynn from Valentin’s anger over the fake pregnancy episode, they remained close.
Chase was suspended from police services for using unlawful methods with one of Brook Lynn’s producers. However, when he learned that BL had not written the recommendation to get him reinstated, he decided to break up with her.
Months later, Chase spoke at his police review board meeting resulting in his re-establishment in his official position.
When Brook Lynn moved out of her family mansion after a disagreement with Tracy, Chase offered her to move in with him, which she did. Soon, Chase proposed, BL accepted, and together, they started planning their wedding.
Chase’s father, Gregory’s declining health forced the couple to plan an early marriage after which Chase booked their honeymoon trip to Italy. The General Hospital episode aired on May 16, 2024, presented an elaborate and happy wedding ceremony. Tracy helped an ailing Gregory get through the ceremony while Ned and Chase’s niece, Violet, sang.
With Gregory’s death after Chase’s wedding and Finn’s alcoholic problems, Chase and Brook Lynn have their hands full with Violet. At the same time, Brook Lynn is looking forward to collaborating with Blaze on an album that will be financed by Sonny.
